This morning I was sitting around the office thinking of things to distract me from work, and I remembered one of my dream items from my youth. I really wanted to be able to play video games across platforms on the same console.
I realize now, that with licensing and all that jazz that it will never happen, but I think I can revise that dream to the following: I want a console system (not emulator, mind you) that can play legacy games from previous systems. Like the PS2 that can play PS1 games, only for Nintendo. Or Sega. But mostly Nintendo. I still have my NES and all of my games, but unfortunately I lack the desire to hook it all up, and it would take up precious orbiting the TV space.
A GameCube like console that had a plugin for the previous NES systems would be great. Get off your ass, Nintendo.

Well, how about the attachment for the gamecube that allows you to play GBA games, which are about 40% composed of snes ports anyway, and also have those little ROM cards with like, excitebike on them?
