Turkey Sub + lively conversation == weird dream…

Last night I had a dream that I had to rescue Sensei Jennings from some sort of prison. The prison in question looked like the Hotel Pere Marquette and sported a strange array of shops leading up to the bleak white tile prisoner conference area.

, , , , and Sensei Hartman were all there, keeping in the theory that this dream was caused by the rousing conversation and sub from Jimmy Johns that I had about an hour before going to bed. We went in to visit Jennings, who was sporting a strange lightweight baby blue gi. He pulled open his gi to show “what happens on the inside”, which was a gigantic horizontal footprint across his chest, Foot Soldier style. Sensei Hartman started showing him how to do jumping, spinning techniques so he could defend himself better against “all them bastards.”

At this point he made some sort of impassioned plea that didn’t make much sense. This was quite strange coming from Sensei Jennings, but nonetheless, we were resolved to rescue him. At this point decided that it would help matters to run to the other side of the parking lot (which looked a lot like Northwoods Mall), but unfortunately it was raining and flash flooding across the lot so it was difficult traveling.

After crossing the parking lot we came to the back entrance of the jail, which had a large formal dining room area like a hotel does. The ceiling was made out of chiseled alabaster and limestone, so it looked a lot like a mausoleum. Small overhangs had titles of shows that had played there, a few that I remember are “Time Warp Across the Ages” and “What is this Mighty Tomm?” There were others that had random gibberish, but our intrepid band of rescuers were not phased by this.

After reaching the prisoner visiting area, Sensei Jennings was there in his real white gi doing Unsu. He told us very succinctly that he had been released, and we should go over to this shop that had appeared and get donuts. I had this big cinnamon and sugar donut that had eclair filling on the inside. Matt got something with squid on it, and we had to run back to his Prius to make our escape.

Again, the parking lot was flooded, but we ended up getting into his Prius and then I woke up. Luckily Rocky Horror didn’t make a cameo.
