On August 31, Tasha and I will officially be homeowners. More information, pictures, and plans will be forthcoming after we officially get the financing and close the deal.
The house was built in 1973, has four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, appliances, central air, finished basement with bar and fireplace, 3 season room, eat-in kitchen, and attached two-stall garage. The roof is seven years old, the central air is two years old, and the furnace was just inspected and deemed operational.
The back yard is a little small, but could be workable for a dojo. The only downside to the house is that it walked out of 1973, with pink shag carpeting, brown/orange/burgandy square patterned carpet in the basement, mustard colored paint in the kitchen, and a series of light fixtures that look older than me and Tasha combined. So it needs a little updating, but that’ll be the fun part.

How is that a downside????
Sarah told me she doesn’t want vinyl siding, so I’m going to cover the house in avocado green shag carpeting.

The problem with that is that you’ll have to deal with swarms of Fleetwood Mac trying to smoke up on the exterior of your home.
