A glimmer of hope in the PVR battle…

A ray of hope in an otherwise dismal battle between me and my PVR. I noticed over lunch, someone said that sometimes X just erases group permissions on devices after certain upgrades. I will go hope and check my X86Free.log to see if X is having trouble binding my framebuffer to my login ID.

If this is the case, it’s chgrp, chmod, and chown to the rescue! If this is not the case, I go back to cursing the day Linus Torvolds was born. Also that cheeky bastard that created X, whatever his name is. I feel very English because I used “cheeky bastard” in a description.

I have to get around some more Americans. Yeesh.
