Ugh. I have two six inch stripes of pain going down from my armpits to the sides of my hips. Apparently those muscles are doing something that they haven’t been for a long time. This is a good thing, even though it doesn’t feel like it at the moment.
I don’t have much more to add today, it’s just a little surprising that I can still make myself sore like this with standard training. Usually it’s only the ass-breaking exertion of an instructor training seminar or a gasshuku (outdoor training) that can do this to me.
Oh well, pain == weakness leaving the vicinity.

I dunno man, with the notable exception of the recent Yabe clinic, the instructor training sessions (although usually very informative) have not ever really been particularly physically demanding. Usually because there’s 90,000 people and you have to keep getting off the tiny dojo floor to let someone else have a go.
