NOOOOoooooOOOOOOOooooOOOOOO!

Welp, the day has finally come. After nearly five years of dedicated service, my Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 surround sound speakers that I have on my PC have finally shown their first signs of giving up the ghost. I don’t know why I noticed tonight, but both rear speakers are crackling. I checked all connections to the subwoofer and they are OK, so I think these puppies are finally starting to go.

For the moment, I have only the fronts turned on so I can listen to music without any distraction. I’m giving thought to riding these until they fall apart and just saving the money toward a new PC, replete with new speaker system. It probably won’t be Klipsch 5.1 Super Awesome ones like my downstairs speakers, but they have to be a step up from these old dogs.
