Aside from the previously mentioned bad news, some good did come in the form of the cable guy. My high-def cable is installed and working beautifully. There is a noticable improvement over standard definition cable, especially on the PBS station. Those guys know how to do high-def. Also, my Gyration keyboard and mouse came today. [...]

Today we got some bad news: Tasha’s grandfather passed away. Details are still sketchy so I won’t elaborate, but his departure was very unexpected despite the fact he had been in somewhat declining health recently. He was a really great man and he really helped Tasha through some hard times; he will be sorely missed. [...]
