Tasha and I sat down for awhile tonight (after spending a great afternoon with the Dukeses) to watch the Olympics in high definition. It is disgusting how cool this stuff looks. We’ve been having some odd issues with the NBC HD feed, it appears that it intermittantly gets garbled or drops to a black screen for a few seconds.
It is the only station doing this in high def. I tried calling Insight, but they weren’t answering their line in fast enough fashion to suit me. I may try them again tomorrow, but for now it is bearable. The difference between high def and standard is astonishing… so much that I don’t mind an intermittant blip away from the action for the picture quality difference.
A few interesting questions have arisen since watching tonight:
* How do you find out that you’re good at ski jumping?
* How do you decide that you want to compete in luge?
* Did Krispy Kreme sponser the medal designs for this year?
For now that’s all, but I’m sure there will be more.
