Far too much work…

Unfortunately, tonight was yet another long night at the office (at least, virtually). I spent most of the day working on series of billing reports and found out around noon that there was something designed incorrectly. Most of my afternoon was spent fixing the design and rerunning the reports.

Since it takes awhile to run, by debug cycles were a little protracted… that kept me to the office until 5:45. I kicked off one more run to see if I had it fixed and drove home, only to find that it wasn’t fixed yet. Around 9 pm, I got all the symptoms fixed. It will have to wait until tomorrow for one of my process partners to validate the fixes are correct.

I had to miss another workout tonight as a result. I really hate missing workouts, however after a work week like this one I am pretty beat. I’m going to try to flex back a half day of all this extra time I’ve been spending lately. It will mostly be dependant on whether or not bugs still exist in my reports. I hope they’re all fixed… I need a break from this stuff.
