Also, if you’re interested in the “work-in-progress”, you can check out Sochin #401 (posted on March 20, 2005 around 40MB) performed by myself and .

I’m doing quite a bit here that I’m not happy with… for reasons unknown my knifehand blocks are low. I rush through the outward block, stepping punch combinations near the end, and we learned a lot at the clinic on April 1 about the pacing and details of the middle part of the kata.

I’m due for another taping soon and I’ll post a link to that when its done.

there is a simple solution for fixing your problem, for the next 20 or so, do it just with one of the problems on your mind. dont think about your stance or what technique you are on or doing anything else right. it works for me, although nothing ever seems to work for everyone.

i just watched it, it looks good, you are really gliding in stance alot better, your knife hand blocks were quite low as you mentioned. other than that the only thing that stood out to me is your high low blocks at the begining looked like they could use a little more snap crackle and pop.

I believe this was taken after 25 additional Sochin kata. Hopefully you will forgive the lack of snap. :)

it wasnt the snap that stood out, it just looked like something was missing, both of them just seemed to be missing something that the rest of the kata had.
