The insane prattlings of the super-tired…

After I got home with Teddy this afternoon, I realized that my late night of taking care of him was catching up with me fast. I decided to take a nap. Only a few hours, I said. Apparently, a few hours is five. I feel considerably better now… its a wonder I got anything productive done at work today.

Hopefully this weekend will be a chance to relax a little. We have D&D planned for tomorrow night and we have intentionally cleared Sunday for Tasha and I to spend some time together. The last few weeks have been moving at such a breakneck pace that it has been impossible for us to do fun things like go out to dinner or see a movie. Hopefully we have earned some well deserved rest and the endless drama of life can leave us alone for an evening.

That being said, I think I need to investigate some time off at work. We’re going to a wedding the weekend after next, and GenCon the weekend after. Both of those trips will be much needed breaks, but leave me with a scant four vacation days to use for the rest of the year. I have already blocked the week of Thanksgiving, which will be nice. Barring any other major malfunctions happening, I will have a few days to tack on to the holiday shutdown this year. Either that, or I can be smart and take those vacation days while it is still nice and non-snowy out. I suppose time will decide that for me.
