We continued to do lunge punch followed by jumping, spinning crescent kick (something I had never done before), and then Sensei’s Patented Jumping Backfist. That one we tried on partners in various configurations and it was really fun to work on.
The humidity was really getting to me today… I was having a hard time catching my breath and an even harder time recovering between kata. Regardless, I got through 15 Sochin for the day. I’m hoping for a class to get to work on kata next week, I wouldn’t mind breaking the 1300 barrier before the end of August. I think the extra 100 Sochin from this month has put me within striking distance of the December 31st goal, but it is still going to take some effort.
