Thanks to constant reminding by
These charts represent the state of affairs as of tonight, I have gone ahead and filled it in with April in-progress as to show the last big payment on the credit cards. One other point to note… we used part of our incentive pay to eliminate Tasha’s remaining credit card debt from college. This is not reflected in the charts, because we did not start out tracking that total and we didn’t want to skew the graphs by trying to add it back in now.
Since January 1, 2006, we have reduced our total debt by 57.92%:

Since January 1, 2007, we have reduced our remaining debt by 41.59%:

At this rate, we should be finishing up with our credit card debt by the end of the year. We’re pretty happy at the progress so far.

Not to brag but I got you beat. We paid off our house two weeks ago.
45 yrs old and no more house payments! Yippy Skippy!!
Keep working it down. The less debt the more saving you do and you’ll be a lot better down the road…especially since you and Tasha are lots younger.
Constant reminding? I wouldn’t go that far…, er, I mean – way to GO! When to do get another update?!?!?!
Wow, that’s great man! Eventually, we’ll get there too… but that’s a much longer term goal.
The high level action plan lies as such:
1.) Pay off credit cards. (+ 1 year)
2.) Pay off cars and student loans. (+ 2-3 years)
3.) Pay off house. (+ 5-7 years)
4.) Build new house. (+ ??? years)
The next update will take place when Uncle Sam returns the part of my salary that he is retaining. Thanks for the support!
