Thanks to a visit by my Cat supervisor, our group of relocated people got to go to a historical Denver restaurant, the Buckhorn Exchange. The restaurant is 105 years old and has a very full history, which is painted very loudly over their heavily taxidermied walls.
I had a 24-oz T-Bone steak which was truly excellent, tender and juicy. I even broadened my horizons and tried Rocky Mountain Oysters, thanks to the heavy prodding of my coworkers. They were actually pretty good… like a cross between calimari and round steak.
It was a really fun time, and I have to say if there was one place in the world with my Dad’s name written all over it, it was this place. They had a lounge upstairs where you were just surrounded by the mounted wildlife… it just feels like the Old West in there. Cool stuff!
