Today we busied ourselves with cleaning. In the process of doing so, Tasha found a small wallet that held a bunch of memory sticks that were taken just before we moved from Illinois. These included some of the last basement hangouts that my cousins and I did, and it also included photos and video from some of our first concerts here in Colorado. I am happy to have found a few recordings from the first Death Cab for Cutie concert that we saw at Red Rocks, it really brought back some fun memories to watch those again.
The house is beginning to shape up, the nursery is essentially complete. We have a few small things to take care of in the next few days, but I think we’re ready for our little girl’s arrival. I have a few large cleaning jobs to take care of tonight and into tomorrow, but once I have those done I think I have earned some relaxation time on Sunday. I plan to spend that getting started on building my Dad’s ukulele kit, where I get to practice some binding and finishing skills that I will use on my first guitars later on this year.
More soon!
