Well, I’ve been tricking myself into believing that I wasn’t sick for a couple of days. Yesterday I went into the office and mentioned I had a sore throat. Next thing I know, Karmon had banished me due to the fact that she did not want to get sick for her vacation that starts at the end of the week.
So I spent yesterday sleeping and working in intermittant spurts… today I woke up on time, and my throat was still pretty raw. I decide to stay home (after threats from Karmon yesterday) and I headed to our local Health Center on campus for consultation.
Final diagnosis: psinus infection. They gave me Z-Pak, for those of you that don’t know what that is, think full body irradiation treatment in 6 little pills. Two the first day, one the next. You *will* be well by the time you’re done, because anything smaller than a skin cell in your body is essentially vaporized, leaving only the meaty shell to fill back in with well-person goodness.
I’ve actually been accomplishing quite a bit while telecommuting, a trend that shouldn’t shock me since I’m much more comfortable at my house than I am at the office and I did this for a whole summer last year. More people should be allowed to telecommute. In fact, it might be fun to see if I can land a Real Person job doing this.
Anyway, I gotta get back to work, more later.
