Oh yes, the time on this post is correct.
There is currently a battle raging in the upper regions of my head, in which my psinuses have had some sort of dispute over the amount of corn pollen in the air, the price of a loaf of bread at HyVee, or the horrible state of our federal government, I’m not entirely sure which. Right now one half is battling the other for supremecy and this is not making rest very easy. “But Josh, look at the time! You’ll never be able to function at work tomorrow!” you might exclaim, as Runny makes a play for the right psinus cavity. Oh no, my friends, you are mistaken. I will function on two things, the first of which being a strongly brewed cup of Earl Grey and the second a healthy dose of DayQuil.
For Matt and anyone else that might be subject to my jittery early morning chat barrage, I apologize, you may safely disregard anything that you either do not understand or that may offend you. Apparently, Stuffy and Runny have just decided to flip flop and are now biding their respective time before a clash so violent that parts of my eyes and throat could be at risk.
As a result of the past few days of misery I have made several excursions into town to distract the rest of my body from the Shakspearean drama that is unfolding in the North. Today my car decided to act randomly when I put the key in the ignition, causing the electrical system to go into a shuttering epileptic fit without actually starting my car. Eventually with enough care and effort my car was restarted, refueled, and apparently the drive settled it down. It shut off and restarted properly after the trip, so I figured I’d try my luck again tomorrow.
This weekend I was lucky enough to secure VGA extension cables so I can actually use my KVM switch that I have had for about six months. This thing is a dream, if you have more than one computer I recommend getting one of these badboys. Two taps of the control key switch to my Linux box, another two back to Windows. It’s really quite lovely.
This marvel of modern technology has made some real testing of my Java Chat Program possible in between spurts of work on my Masters Project, and I am pleased to say that everything is progressing better than I could have hoped at this point on both fronts. I’m in a bit of a waiting game for my Masters Project (waiting on templates from another source), so the progress on the Java Chat is making me still feel productive.
I need to figure out a snazzy name for my Java Chat endeavor, it’s going to eventually be used as part of a VRML virtual teaching piece of software. I already have a good one for my Masters Project: Web Authoring Template Service ONline (WATSON). Any suggestions for the Chat Program would be appreciated.
Well, the battle appears to be quieting down for awhile. Stuffy has occupied the left psinus for the night, and Runny must be planning something because he’s nowhere to be found. He’s probably going to show up in my duodenum, that’s where he’d be least expected. Clever bastard.
