Tonight I had progress (of sorts) on the diagnostic log. I coded up a portion of the logic for the inner workings of the system, and then got dissatisfied with the “struts-blank” name of the project. It was deploying on my web server as “struts-blank” and I wanted something different. I refactor->renamed it and it worked… however it didn’t change the deploy point for the application.
I searched high and low, screwed with a few settings, and proceeded to mess up the whole project. I churned around for an hour or so and finally got it back to the point where I did before. The only reportable progress that I’ve made is a few validation checks on one of the fields… and it was only a test field.
Sometimes Eclipse fights you just as bad as WSAD or RAD does.

So.. it’s not the end-all be-all of programming that every says it is! >p
It is a very good application, however it still has its problems. At least its not fundamentally evil like .NET.
