I came home from work tonight and wanted a nap, so I opted for an hour or two which ended up being 3.5 hours. I was out like a light, and I must’ve really needed the sleep.
This is going to seem quite strange, but I woke up thinking about a house that I either got to walk through the last time we were house hunting years ago or I DREAMT that we went through the last time we were house hunting.
Sadly, Tasha doesn’t remember if the house I described actually existed or not but I’m going to conjecture that it didn’t. If memory serves it was a sprawling three level house, but it was sufficiently old that major parts of it had fallen into disrepair. It had some old world features like open floor plan, a big theater area, interesting architecture, and stained glass windows. It had a bunch of rooms and some winding hallways to get into some of them, and that’s about all I remember.
I suspect it was a dream, since I am betting that a house with the amenities that I remember would’ve cost at least a million bucks even run down, which is extremely far out of my price range. I just find it rather interesting that I would wake up dreaming about the exact same house twice.
Maybe I should write down a few of my observations if I ever end up dreaming about the place again, perhaps its literally my dream home!

Dreams like that can be spooky. Jami and I toured a house remarkably like the one you describe in Delavan, a massive three level home that was built in the late 1800’s. It had stained glass windows, an intricate wooden staircase between the first and second level, and huge vaulted ceilings. It also had a twisting staircase to the third level hidden away in the guest bedroom – we almost missed it. It was a fantastic old house but the owner needed 90 days to close and we didn’t want to wait.
It must have sold, or been de-listed, it’s not on Remax anymore.
I fully expect to have a “oh holy crap” moment house shopping at some point in the future. I was documenting this dream in hopes I can start to remember shreds of the layout or architecture so I know it if/when I see it. 🙂
