We’re starting to get into a rhythm here at the house, and this schedule has me up at my normal hours getting Eve her late-night feeding. I enjoy the bonding time, but it has (predictably) cut into time that I tended to work on side programming work. That’s not a big deal, but today things were quiet enough that I was able to get one of my two projects mostly completed before baby stuff got into full swing in the evening.
After some appointments today, I opted to stop into the office for no other reason than to set my out-of-office assistant to inform people I would be gone for another 10 days. It was nice to have some contact with my coworkers again, even if it was for only 10 minutes. I even answered a quick question about unit testing while I was there. It’s weird how much I miss having work to do during the day, but it is nice having time off to relax and bond with the baby.
Tomorrow I need to go and get the battery replaced in my Saturn, so that should be a fun excursion. More soon!
