I got off work today and decided to make the second recipe from Ron Douglas’s America’s Most Wanted Recipes book: Outback Steakhouse’s Key Lime Pie.  It’s cooling in the fridge now, we’ll be digging into it later on.

Tomorrow night is Paul’s bachelor party… it should be pretty fun!  Rock Band, food, and good people should make it great.  We’ve got the 1964 Beatles Tribute concert at Red Rocks on Saturday, so its a busy weekend already!

Tonight I embarked on a culinary adventure.  As I mentioned over the weekend, I purchased Ron Douglas’s book “America’s Most Wanted Recipes” and attempted his recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken.  It was great!  I overcooked a few pieces of it, but cut down the deep frying to only 2 minutes and it worked out just fine.  The book also has other cool copycat recipes… I’m going to try the Outback Steakhouse Key Lime Pie next.  They’ve also got a recipe for their Honey-Wheat Bushman’s Bread but you need a breadmaker so I might have to wait awhile on that one.

Not much else going on tonight, heading to the Arvada dojo tomorrow since it’s finally a new month and I can get back to training!  Hooray!
